Analy's 6 Month Photos
Since Analy and I were the first ones up this morning, I decided to take a few photos since it's been a couple of months. Here are a few of what we got.

How does your garden grow?
Our garden certainly looks good these days (actually even bigger and better than the photos). Remember we are experimenting with the square foot garden method. I'm eager to see if we get any vegetables to eat. I'm getting ready to go out and try to dig some potatoes for supper!

I'm still trying to get Analy used to playing in the water outside. She still doesn't seem to like to cool water. I stuck her toes into the springs this weekend and she screamed. Mathias would have jumped right in if we would have let him. I'm not sure how we are going to balance his love for the water and Analy's apparent hate.

Food between your toes!
Today Analy had her 6 month check-up. Everything went fine and she had another round of shots. Her measurements are about the same. She weighed in at 13 and 3/4 lbs (10th percentile) and 26.75 inches tall (81st percentile). So she is still sporting her long and lean super model figure.
So to explain the food between your toes thing. It is such a battle to feed Analy. She is constantly trying to put her hands AND feet in her mouth the entire time we are trying to feed her. I end up having to scrub peas, carrots, or whatever from her toes, legs, etc.

But with this sweet face, I don't really mind!

Happenings...
Jamie and I were out cleaning up our front garden a few nights ago. Jamie put out some more mulch and repositioned our stepping stones. Mathias was trying to help, tripped, and bumped his head pretty good. Thankfully it's just a goose egg and some scrapes, nothing too major. He cried for like 10 seconds and went on playing. He seems to be pretty tough.
Mathias and Analy are interacting more and more each day. The interaction isn't always friendly, thanks to Mathias, but it's nice to catch them making each other laugh.

The Races
Mathias loves a good race. It doesn't matter what you want to race him doing. This is a video of Jamie and Mathias having a corn-eating race. Please notice that Jamie declares "I win" at the end. I don't think Jamie understands the concept of letting your children win sometimes! Mathias has a long road of defeats ahead of him I'm afraid. Hopefully it will help build character.

Analy hasn't gotten into the whole racing thing yet. Last night she preferred to take a quick nap during supper. I wish they made these swings in adult sizes! I'd never get anything done around the house.

Moving On Up!
Jamie gave me a new flash for my birthday. It finally arrived on Monday. Analy is really enjoying it but Mathias just doesn't like a camera in his face anymore!
Mathias has officially joined us at the table. On Sunday, we had lunch with a family from church. They let him sit at their table so from then on he hasn't wanted to have anything to do with the highchair. Here he is enjoying some strawberry jelly that our neighbors made for us.

Splash Time!
The nice, warm weather that lasted a few days is gone and now it is just plain hot! At the end of summer last year, I bought a few water toys for us to hook up to the water hose for some splashing fun.
Mathias really enjoyed the splash mat. (Analy hated it. I don't think she cares for cool water!)
You can see Mathias jumping and splashing on the mat in the video below.
