Easter is always a joyful time. This year was no exception. First, we celebrated at our church with dinner on the grounds and an Easter egg hunt.
Jamie shared the Easter story with the kids.

Then it was off to hunt eggs.

Mathias was the super egg-finder this year. He filled his bucket to over-flowing. I think he found over 6 dozen eggs, plus Analy’s couple dozen. So at the end of the day, we had tons and tons of hardboiled eggs to take home. (Thankfully there were some hungry college boys present who were willing to take them off our hands!)

The Easter bunny hopped by for a visit. Analy saw him across the parking lot, took off running to him, and jumped in his arms.

She REALLY loved him after he gave her a piece of chocolate. After that, she decided it was more profitable to follow him around for candy instead of hunting boiled eggs!

Our little play group was able to meet up for an egg hunt too! Here they are impatiently waiting to hunt.

And they’re off!

Analy needed a rest after a few eggs.

The fun part…checking out the loot!

Easter morning was chaotic (just like any other Sunday morning at our house). Mathias did come to our room at 6:15 to tell us the Easter bunny had filled his basket. They were very excited. Analy was the only one I snapped a few pictures of before we headed out for the day. (She wasn’t crazy about her Easter bonnet. It didn’t last very long at church.) She was very proud of her dress that she picked out all by herself.

After church, we spent the afternoon with some of Jamie’s colleagues eating, fellowshipping, and, of course, hunting eggs!
Praise God for all His many blessings!
