Random Cuteness

Here's Mathias in his new coat that Nana sent him. I think he's ready for his expedition to the North Pole. But first, he's got to figure out how to drink juice while wearing it!
Analy hanging out on the back porch.

I've got these photos sitting out like this on a table in my living room. The other day I heard Mathias yelling "stop looking at me, stop looking at me, stop looking at me, stop looking at me."
This is what I found when I went to see what he was doing.
I've also caught him hitting and talking to the photo of Analy and of one of his cousin's. Hopefully these issues will sort themselves out!

More Christmas

I don't know about y'all but I just can't get enough Christmas! While I was at home I got some photos that my uncle took during our visit home during Christmas. Just thought I'd share.
This first one was from my mom's camera, the girls on Christmas day.

 Love Mathias' "cheese"!

If she only wanted to walk...

Well Analy can make her way around walking with cars, shopping carts, and holding hands. She hasn't ventured out too much on her own though. She makes it about 3 or 4 steps before collapsing to a crawl.

Here's Analy in action.
I know I will be chasing her around soon enough!

Visit Home

Last week, the kids and I loaded into the car and headed north for the week, well only as far as GA. We spent the week with Nana and Pop and visited the Ellis crew as well. Here are a few photos courtesy of my mom. (I never remember my camera when we are travelling!)
Mathias finally got to make his "Frosty the Snowman." Yes, that's what those blobs are! We did have to dig week-old sleet out of the ditch but we made a little boy happy. He just needed a magic hat!
 Analy tried to eat them!
She enjoyed sneaking rides on the tricycle when Mathias wasn't looking.
Mathias enjoyed playing with my old doll and stroller.
They both enjoyed time in the old playhouse. Here's Analy cooking up some eggs.
I can only imagine what kind of meal these two could cook up!

Color-queen

Analy loves to color. She loves crayons and markers. Too bad she also enjoys eating them!
Here she is with her first picture about a month ago.

Reaching New Heights

Analy's not walking yet but she loves to climb. I find her in all sorts of places on top of the coffee table, in chairs, and on boxes.
Here's Analy caught in the act.

Enjoying the view!

She is such a little dare-devil. Unfortunately she loves standing in chairs!
Mathias wanted to join in the photo shoot.
Can't you just feel the love!

Someday I will pay him back.

Thankfully, Analy is pretty forgiving. She loves her rocking chair. She climbs into it and just rocks and rocks. It's so cute!

The Golden Egg

We've been checking everyday, hoping our chickens would lay an egg. Finally, we found one! I don't even want to say what this egg is worth!

I hope this is the beginning of many many more!

Christmas Day!

Finally, Christmas morning! I was awakened by the crazy barks of my dogs terrorizing the chickens that Santa had left. So at sunrise, I had to go out and scream at dogs and make sure the chickens were still all alive. I was the first one awake so I got everything ready and waited and waited for everyone to get up. Finally, Analy woke up around 7am. She immediately went to wake up Mathias. Of course, Mathias was sick with a fever so he wasn't feeling well. He did manage to open a few presents.
Here he is checking out his stocking.

Analy enjoyed opening her gifts from Santa. She loved her new baby.
The toothbrushes left in their stockings we their favorites by far!
Santa left a note stating that there was a present he had to leave outside.
Here's Mathias checking out his new chickens!
You can see he is overwhelmed with excitement!
Here are the new girls!
We went out later to feed them some bread.
Mathias has named them Chester (the white one after Chester Fried Chicken), Mimi, and Smokey.
We did manage one family photo. You can see that Mathias was thrilled!
God truly blessed us with a wonderful holiday season!

Christmas Eve

We enjoyed some nice time at home for Christmas. Nana and Pop were able to come down to join in on the fun. Here's Mathias having tea time with Nana.
We made cookies for Santa.
Mathias loved using the flour and rolling pin.
Mathias asked Santa for chickens for Christmas. (What child asks for chickens?) So Jamie and Pop spent the day finishing up the coop. Mathias helped where he could.

We got it all together and ready for Santa's delivery. We even had food and water waiting.
Here's our last family photo without chickens!
Christmas Eve evening we decorated cookies for Santa.
Mathias enjoyed putting on the sprinkles.
Analy enjoyed eating the icing and sprinkles as you can see!
Our finished cookies! (Note the gingerbread house is still standing and my yummy red velvet cake!)
Before bed, we read the Christmas story. Here's Analy with her nativity scene.
We also listened to "The Night Before Christmas" read by Granddaddy.
Before Mathias tucked in for the night, he picked out some cookies to leave for Santa.
