Okay, so Mathias' birthday was actually 2 weeks ago but naps have been a priority around here lately. The heat sucks all the energy out of this pregnant lady!
Like all mothers say, I can't believe my baby boy is 3 years old. Seems like just yesterday when we brought him home from the hospital and changed our lives forever.
Mathias was blessed to celebrate is birthday over several weekends. The party started Memorial Day weekend with a visit from Nana and Pop. Mathias had requested a "Cars" cake so we decorated with Cars stuff.
His favorite part was opening presents from Nana and Pop. His favorite gift was a remote control race car.

The next weekend we welcomed a visit from Grandma and Grandaddy. They brought down a huge surprise for Mathias.
His very own peddle car! Pretty fancy!
Finally, came Monday June 6th. Here's Mathias fresh out of bed with his presents from Mama and Daddy.
His favorite was a camera. I'll post later some of the photos he has taken himself.
Mathias also requested a "Thomas the choo-choo train" cake. So I opted to whip up some cupcakes.
He was pretty happy with the results!
We had planned a picnic at O'Leno for the evening but the rain made us change our plans. So off to McD's we headed.
Mathias and Analy were thrilled...
...Jamie not so much!
