Beach Fun!

We were blessed to spend a week at Fernandina Beach with Jamie’s family. This was Jude’s first trip to the beach, not that he really cared so much about it. He did spend a little bit of time out by the water.
 
Mathias still LOVES the water. He is completely fearless and jumped right in with his older cousins.

There were plenty of arms and laps for Jude to enjoy this week. Here he is with Grandma.

The odd “Mini Me” statue in the living room of our rental. My kids consider him a new friend!

There were plenty of sandcastles built…

and shark’s teeth found. (We came home with about 50!)

There were lots of smiles…

but some frowns in the chilly water!

The cousins had fun playing with each other. The older boys are great with my kids!

Jude wanted to go face down and just eat handfuls of sand.

The little “tide pools” at low tide offered some warm water fun!

We even had a leatherback sea turtle lay her eggs in front of our house. You can see its tracks from the water.

Uncle Matthew did some fishing.

We enjoyed lots of walks on the beach.


We made some Mathias volcanoes…

and more sand castles.

And just “hung out” and relaxed all week!
